Clean water is part of a safe school

Children drink more water than adults relative to their body weight, and in Delhi's heat they drink a lot of it at school. Most schools store water in large underground tanks and several overhead tanks feeding drinking points, toilets and the canteen. Even where drinking water passes through RO units or coolers, a dirty storage tank shortens filter life and supplies unfiltered water to washrooms and kitchens.

Scheduling around the school calendar

The best time to clean school tanks is when the building is empty:

  • Before the new session in late March or early April, so children start the year with clean tanks.
  • During summer vacation, often in June, before schools reopen in July.
  • After the monsoon, during the autumn break, when tanks are most likely to have taken in dirty water.
  • On Sundays or second Saturdays for in-term cleaning.

We'll work with your administration or estate team to set dates, and an annual contract can lock them in for the year.

Safety on school premises

  • Work areas and open manholes are cordoned off and never left unattended.
  • Our team works only in agreed areas and follows your visitor and security procedures.
  • Underground tanks are treated as confined spaces, with ventilation and a person stationed at the opening.

Records for parents and inspections

Parents increasingly ask schools about drinking water. Dated before-and-after photos for every tank give your administration a clear answer and a simple record for school inspections or accreditation reviews.

Coaching centres and hostels

Coaching institutes and student hostels — common in areas like Patel Nagar and around Central and North Delhi — often operate from converted residential buildings with rooftop tanks and a sump, used far more heavily than a family home. These benefit from cleaning every three to four months.

Scheduling around the school day

Schools usually clean tanks during holidays, on weekends or before the summer break, so drinking-water points are back in use before students return. We clean every tank that feeds drinking water and toilets in one visit and share dated before-and-after photos for the school's records.
