Why tank hygiene matters more in healthcare
Hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis centres, diagnostic labs and clinics use stored water for handwashing, cleaning, patient bathing, kitchens and sometimes equipment. Biofilm on tank walls can harbour bacteria that are a particular concern for vulnerable patients, and stagnant or warm stored water allows them to multiply. Regular cleaning and disinfection of storage tanks is one part of a facility's wider water-safety and infection-control practice.
We're a tank cleaning company, not an infection-control consultant — but we can make the tank-cleaning part of your routine reliable, documented and minimally disruptive.
How we work in hospitals and clinics
- No supply interruption to critical areas. Tanks are cleaned one at a time. Where a facility has only one tank, we'll discuss temporary arrangements with your maintenance team before scheduling.
- Cleaning, then disinfection. Sludge is removed and surfaces scrubbed before an anti-bacterial disinfectant is applied and rinsed — disinfection on a dirty surface is ineffective. Read about our disinfection method.
- Coordination with your maintenance or infection-control team, including timing around OT schedules and peak OPD hours.
- Dated records — before-and-after photos for each tank — for your quality and accreditation files.
Recommended frequency
For healthcare facilities we suggest cleaning at least every three months, plus immediately after any suspected contamination, plumbing work that opened the system, or a period when a tank was out of use. An annual maintenance contract is the easiest way to keep to that schedule.
Clinics, labs and small nursing homes
Smaller facilities — a nursing home in a converted residential building or a clinic on the ground floor of a market — usually have the same rooftop tank and sump as a house. Standard per-tank prices apply and you can book online, though we still recommend scheduling outside clinic hours.

Prices are per tank, by maximum capacity. Mixed tank types count together for the quantity discount; a transportation charge of ₹0–₹100 may apply, once per booking, by PIN code.
Water testing
Tank cleaning doesn't replace water-quality testing. If your facility tests water periodically, schedule a sample a few days after cleaning to establish a baseline, and keep both records together.
Recent hospital work
Two recent hospital orders show the kind of work we do for healthcare clients. For C. K. Birla Hospital we cleaned two 50,000-litre fire tanks, a 50,000-litre raw-water tank, a 50,000-litre treated-water tank and two 5,000-litre PVC tanks, including silt removal, debris disposal and inspection of manholes and discharges. For Artemis Hospital we cleaned 10,000-litre and 5,000-litre overhead PVC tanks.

Keeping water available during the cleaning
Hospitals can't switch off water for long. We clean tanks one at a time while the others supply the building, coordinate timings with the facility team, and provide dated photos for infection-control and maintenance records.
