Why mid-size sumps need regular attention

Tanks in this range often supply a whole building, so the pump draws water from them many times a day. Each draw lifts fine sediment from just above the sludge layer and sends it to the rooftop tanks. If you've noticed that your overhead tanks get dirty again quickly after cleaning, an uncleaned sump in this range is a likely cause.

These sumps also tend to be older — many were built with the original house and have never been properly cleaned out. Expect our team to point out cracked plaster, a damaged cover or an overflow without mesh if they see one.

On the day
